Butterfly Farm

These are just some of the moths and butterflies from my garden.
When they are put together in a collage, they remind me of a Butterfly Farm.

No, I don't have a butterfly farm. I guess to have one, I would need a caterpillar farm too. How do you like the idea of a caterpillar farm?

  1. Wow, so many butterflies! I want to visit your garden, so I can photograph the butterfly. I live in a high rise apartment, I have to go to a park if I want to hunt for butterfly but sometimes they are shy or went into hiding! lol

Fancy having so many different species around.
nice to see them all in one go.
    No pun intended.
Yogurt on copper: i am hoping that when I scrape it off, it will be all bright and shiny. Fat chance.

How fortunate you are to be able to photograph so many different butterflies, and how fortunate we are that you shared them here.

  8. Wow, i thought when you told me you posted butterflies, it was the one butterfly in onenezz. I just saw this link in FB now. Your photos are much better than mine, haha! But do we not get curious why we post at almost the same time, what's happening, LOL! The better colored butterflies, which we have many also in the farm, are very difficult to photograph. Either they flutter a lot or they don't stop for me to shoot!

  16. Beautiful butterflies! Some look exactly, to my untrained eye, like the butterflies in my Texas garden. Others look very similar in some ways, but with distinct differences.

  17. great collage. When I was living in Singapore, the black butterfly comes to my lime tree. This gives my kids a great way to learn about caterpillars.

Here in New Zealand, the schools plant swan plants for the Monarch butterflies.

What plants do you have? Oh yes, they grow on banana leaves too,
