This butterfly could barely balance itself after losing a wing.
It could have just sat there and moan but it went around flapping the remainder of its wings doubly fast instead.
It is probably still thankful with the abundance of cosmos flowers around.
The above is a photo I captured in between 2 trees and below my wooden blind to make a nice frame for my messy looking garden.
Head over to Garden Bloggers Bloom Day at May Dreams Gardens to see what is blooming around the world now.

Wow! It looks as if it doesn't any difference despite the broken wing. Great shots!!
ReplyDeleteAbout your comment on my blog, I thought the last pictures were of ladybugs so I never thought they could be anything else. But now I'll check out the leaf-eating beetles...
Have a great week!!
Poor guy!
ReplyDeleteWhat resilience! Amazing what the spirit can accomplish.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs!
ReplyDeleteHappy GBBD :)
When they are already in the photo, they don't look messy anymore. That's also the reason i don't get wide angle shots, not to show the messy overall effect of my mother's garden, and i also call ours! I didn't join GBBD because i somehow get tired of looking at flowers already. I shifted consciousness for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI though poor guy too, but he really does have a wonderful place to live.
ReplyDeleteReally neat photos today. Butterflies don't mind the mess, I am sure.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures. I find that butterflies and birds like my messy garden, too!
ReplyDeleteYour butterflies are fortunate to have a tropical wonderland.
ReplyDeletealoha,
ReplyDeletei was wondering at first if it was two butterflies, but read its one...very beautiful patterns.
I've noticed that butterflies and hummingbirds don't mind if my garden isn't perfectly maintained--the messier, the better (they seem to think!) Lovely photos. Happy GBBD!
ReplyDeletePoor thing...but you're right, it's probably happy to at least have lots of food avaiable!
