These birds are spotted daily.
The first 3 photos are Asian Glossy Starlings.
This sparrow was born somewhere inside my neighbour's roof.
Strangely, I see a Myna flying into the same spot daily.
Any idea what is going on in there?
I wish I can see what goes on inside the roof.

Do you know the names to the yellow and brown bird below?
This last photo was taken at the park but it is similar to the one above it.

A great bird parade ... very nice photos ...
ReplyDeleteGreetings Karin
Lovely selection of birds.
ReplyDeleteThe yellow one looks similar to the Golden Oriole we get here sometimes. Maybe the same family?
You have some stunning birds in your garden..
ReplyDeleteLovely images.
Great sequence!! Love those red eyes!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Those Koels look like the same ones that migrate down here to Australia for the summer.
ReplyDeleteThe Koels are cool looking, I like their eyes. Great birds and photos.
ReplyDeleteYou have such a great variety of birds in your garden. Cuckoos I don't really like in mine, we have had the Horsefield's cuckoo here this year for the first time and i would rather it stayed away and let our little birds bring up their own young not someone else's big monster.
ReplyDeleteI can not help with the bird ID mystery, sorry! But am I glad to make the acquaintance of the Asian Koel. What characters, and that eye...just great!
ReplyDeleteStunning photos!! The yellow one looks like the Golden Oriole but I haven't seen one up that close. Your garden must be a birder's delight!
ReplyDeleteNice shots of your tropical birds!
ReplyDeleteYou, too, have a nice variety of birds in your yard--just different, though we also have the pesty english sparrow. Great photos. Birds are so hard to photograph. You have done well.
ReplyDeleteSo here is where the family is hiding. I knew there would be more. The myna birds are like our starlings. They steal nests of other birds and like cavity dwellings I think. They even evict the chicks of competing birds and may not even inhabit the nest they vacate. They are aggressive too. Nice bird photos, One.
ReplyDeletewOw!! great pictures!!
ReplyDeletedo the Koel's REALLY have such bright red eyes??
and the yellow one is beautiful!! as are the last couple too!!!
go away bird, go away, stop pecking my plums before I get a chance.
ReplyDeleteAs always you share such joy in your pictures. May this joy continue in all your life EVERY day in the New Year.
ReplyDeleteBlessings with gratitude for nature so beautifully shared.
beautiful photo,and nice blog; bravo
ReplyDeletehermosas capturas, muy bellas fotografías!!! Hermoso tu blog! Saludos desde Argentina!!!
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures: I love the shot of the sparrow - it looks a little lost. The yellow one is the black naped oriole (Oriolus chinensis) which have a broad nape that is joined at the back, unlike the Golden oriole. The brown bird is a yellow-vented bulbul. They are very at home in the garden.
ReplyDeletehermosas todas las fotos!!! un abrazo!
ReplyDeleteGood to have birds visiting your garden. Unlike you I have never been very successful in photographing birds.
